Rosewood Veneer
Rosewood Veneer

Im having trouble filling small pores in my Rosewood veneer.?
Im in the process of refinishing some Rosewood veneer and of course it has the many and small pores in the wood which is a common thing.I brought some grain filler and followed its instructions , yet after it dries i fine sand the wood , only to find that the pores haven’t filled…….does anyone have any advice on what i could be doing wrong?
Many thanks Dan
You have to push the filler into the pores I use a squeegee. Then rub it in with your gloved hands in a circular motion until its almost dry, then rag it. After it’s dry use a 220 STEARATED paper. You just need to sand enough to smooth the surface then use a kitchen scrubber sponge meant for non stick cookware. Good luck Veneer is a pain to work with!
Whats your plan to finish it?

Does anyone know where I can find a pool cue like this?
I am looking for something like a Balabushka with veneered rosewood points on a white maple forearm, a light beige wrap with dark brown spots, and stainless steel joint with rings on the collars.
I would prefer something made in the U.S.A. with high quality and priced at around $300. Anyone know of a brand that makes a cue like this? I’ve thought about getting a Viking Cue, but their designs are too modern for me. I’d like something like a Balabushka style, like I mentioned earlier.
Try J&J cues they have a few old styles you can judge for yourself they are good shooting cues but not expensive kinda like a players
